Ferrules are made of soft copper with plated tin for maximum conductivity. The color coded collars are made of polypropylene. Ferrules prevent fraying and stress on stranded wires that are connected to terminal blocks or circuit breakers. Mills & Kemble ferrules have greatly reduced electrical resistance when compared to traditional pin type terminals. Their hollow barrel provides an enlarged contact area that easily conforms around the bare wire end to form a single, highly conductive point that resists bending and vibration. A size specific crimping tool is essential to proper installation. (See next page.) Please inquire about other color code standards that may be available. |
